DuckDuckGo is really good when it comes to privacy, but just as bad as google with showing information. Even though it doesn't tell you most of the top results on DuckDuckGo are ads, they paid to be the top results. It also tends to filter out non politically correct information. Google is notorious for manipulatively tailoring search results. If you want to search controversial subjects try out something like mojeek.com or presearch.org and you'll likely get dramatically different results. These also respect privacy. Source: about 1 year ago

Mine is pretty much as old as Steam itself. My account name is my freaking excite.com email address, which expired decades ago. I made it when I bought Half-Life 2, from Best Buy IIRC correctly. People were not happy that you needed a Steam account to play the game! Source: 12 months ago
