I love CSP but with the way they've been going, I don't feel like it's proper to recommend them :C - I have used Krita and Medibang for my job and genuinely, nobody can tell the difference. There are a number of free programs out there - Photopea is free but online only, Medibang works on Windows/Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Android and appears to be free across all platforms.
