  • Max Verstappen on Discord about the 24H Le Mans Virtual.
Actually you can, get an image and open it up in an editor, or this site that lets you pick colours online, paste the hex colour code into something like this site that gets the colour name and you ought to get some context as to what the colour appears to the rest of us. • Too light for Regulan Hussars? I usually see their scheme done as either more brown or more orange. Might just need a brown wash though.
I usually take a color pick from the unitcolorcompendium.com website (to get a colors hex code from one of their pictures) then use encycolorpedia.com to find the nearest paint match. Encycolorpedia.com have vallejo, citadel, tamiya and I think airfix indexed. Regulan Hussars come out as Vallejo Heavy Ochre. SO... Source: over 2 years ago

  • Tailwind Color Palette Generator
My go-to color links (general color theory stuff): - https://paletton.com/ palettes with color theory and can generate the entire scheme. - https://medialab.github.io/iwanthue/ I want hue, uses k-means to separate out colors, great for graphs and getting contrast on those. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
  • Tailwind Color Palette Generator
Looks useful for gradients. Strange that nobody mentions Paletton. It's my go to tool when picking colors: https://paletton.com/ You start with the base, and then also get gradients to adjacent colors in the palette. Especially the triad and tetrad ones are useful. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago

  • Artists, how do you navigate color? What tools/techniques do you use?
Could use a pipeline to this one website that scans colors from images and states their name, could be a quick new command like a special screenshot that is sent and scanned then named. Or a phone camera color scanner? There are also other websitesthat could be useful.. Whatever it is, I bet it could work out. Source: 12 months ago
