Really informative post on how to do this "by hand"! I use https://trips.furkot.com (which is free) for this kind of trip planning. It is fantastic to determine how much stuff you can fit in a day, taking into account when you want to start/end your day, driving time, stops for food, time at any road-side attractions, overnight stays, ticketed events (to ensure you arrive on time), etc. It's an... - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
Route 3 makes the most sense. Keep mind some of the landmarks you listed for each city are far apart (ex, The Getty and the Getty Villa, Hearst Castle to PG). CA is huge and can be boring at some sections. I use this site https://trips.furkot.com to plan out my road trips. I don't rush I like to stop along the way if there is anything of interest. The website I gave also has things to see... Source: over 1 year ago

I just checked planefinder.net it said that the plane flew in the direction of Smolensk then carried on south west, is currently heading to Caspian Sea. Source: 10 months ago
Planefinder.net also has a pretty good replay feature for free. If you hunt around the sites, most of the big sites have it in some form or fashion. Source: 11 months ago
Maybe try https://planefinder.net/ next time? I know during the search for Myles Sanderson it was possible to track the rcmp plane. Anyone know what app/website that was? And yes if you hear a plane flying around Regina in the middle of the night it’s probably the police plane. Source: 11 months ago
