I just checked planefinder.net it said that the plane flew in the direction of Smolensk then carried on south west, is currently heading to Caspian Sea. Source: over 1 year ago
Planefinder.net also has a pretty good replay feature for free. If you hunt around the sites, most of the big sites have it in some form or fashion. Source: over 1 year ago
Maybe try https://planefinder.net/ next time? I know during the search for Myles Sanderson it was possible to track the rcmp plane. Anyone know what app/website that was? And yes if you hear a plane flying around Regina in the middle of the night it’s probably the police plane. Source: over 1 year ago
Same, must be the website as https://planefinder.net/ is showing them. Source: almost 2 years ago
The impact on my CO2 footprint from refusing to take the bus is nothing compared to this. Source: almost 2 years ago
I'm still feeding planefinder.net since they were the ones who first got me started with all of this ADS-B feeding side of things. I'm currently still feeding ADSBExchange, but also evaluating options and the future. Source: about 2 years ago
If it helps, it always helps my gf when I remind her that flying is the safest mode of transportation ever created, and show her this map: https://planefinder.net/ this reminds her of how many thousands of other planes are constantly flying. It has to be this specific site as others won’t show every plane when zoomed out. Source: about 2 years ago
My guess this is too much info, very good as it is. Here is the abridged direct PSA version: Oh dear Karen's and Kens, There are many websites, (mostly free) with tracking of any flight, any time, any day any aircraft. Https://flightaware.com/ Https://flightaware.com/ Https://planefinder.net/ Https://mobile.flightview.com/ Maybe 20 more... Maybe can use your university degrees to investigate @google.com. Source: about 2 years ago
Do I have the website for you! https://planefinder.net/. Source: about 2 years ago
Posting private information. The location of jets is public information, tracking them isn't illegal - anyone can view them whenever they want. For example -> https://planefinder.net. Source: about 2 years ago
When I look on planefinder.net, the closest planes I can find are usually somewhere down in South Park, or often it seems like there isn't even a plane landing/taking off at that time. I'm 99% sure it isn't freeway noise down Texas either, based on how it sounds. Source: over 2 years ago
Https://planefinder.net - life flight tracking. Source: over 2 years ago
I understand the only point of this sub is to complain. But for future reference, FAA data is public domain and you can use a site like https://planefinder.net/ to see what’s in the sky above you. Source: over 2 years ago
Oh sure, I'm not allowed... But I'm the CTO of https://planefinder.net so I have to! Source: almost 3 years ago
We can too: planefinder. Currently swedish airforce 'SVF645' is patrolling the border. Source: almost 3 years ago
You never see any planes near the border. You can track them here. Source: almost 3 years ago
Great post, but also to add - make sure to get landmarks in that can help judge size and do not crop or alter the video. People inspecting it can do that and stamping on the video from gps and other data can fill in blanks. If you have an iphone you can literally ask Siri what flights are overhead. There are also sites like https://www.n2yo.com/?s=28485 as well as https://planefinder.net/ and other similar apps. Source: almost 3 years ago
Not exactly. Most planes prefer Turkey, Iraq and Saudi Arabia airspace. You can look from here and here. Source: almost 3 years ago
The last plane just flew over: TK412 . Search for it on https://planefinder.net/. Source: almost 3 years ago
