  • Weird sound in the sky
I just checked https://planefinder.net/ and I didn't see anything flying near El Cajon from 9:05 to 9:20. Source: 5 months ago
  • So many helicopters
Look them up on https://planefinder.net. Source: 10 months ago

  • Playback Feature?
Planefinder.net also has a pretty good replay feature for free. If you hunt around the sites, most of the big sites have it in some form or fashion. Source: 11 months ago
  • Regina Police Airplane
Maybe try https://planefinder.net/ next time? I know during the search for Myles Sanderson it was possible to track the rcmp plane. Anyone know what app/website that was? And yes if you hear a plane flying around Regina in the middle of the night it’s probably the police plane. Source: 11 months ago
  • Is anyone else getting only sat planes? No traffic over Europe or America.
Same, must be the website as https://planefinder.net/ is showing them. Source: about 1 year ago
  • A photo illustrating the impact of taking public transport versus private transport. Photo: Cycling Promotion Fund
The impact on my CO2 footprint from refusing to take the bus is nothing compared to this. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Where is everyone feeding now?
I'm still feeding planefinder.net since they were the ones who first got me started with all of this ADS-B feeding side of things. I'm currently still feeding ADSBExchange, but also evaluating options and the future. Source: about 1 year ago
  • This woman was so nervous about flying, so the flight attendant explained every sound and bump and even sat here holding her hand when it still got to be too much for her.
If it helps, it always helps my gf when I remind her that flying is the safest mode of transportation ever created, and show her this map: https://planefinder.net/ this reminds her of how many thousands of other planes are constantly flying. It has to be this specific site as others won’t show every plane when zoomed out. Source: over 1 year ago
  • To the people who are still spreading misinformation about elon's jet info being private or people who are generally misinformed about it. Please Read
My guess this is too much info, very good as it is. Here is the abridged direct PSA version: Oh dear Karen's and Kens, There are many websites, (mostly free) with tracking of any flight, any time, any day any aircraft. Https://flightaware.com/ Https://flightaware.com/ Https://planefinder.net/ Https://mobile.flightview.com/ Maybe 20 more... Maybe can use your university degrees to investigate @google.com. • Elon Musk just popped into a Twitter Spaces chat with a bunch of journalists. He was called out by journalist Drew Harrell, who he banned, for lying about posting links to his private information, then leaves almost immediately after being pressed. Here is the exchange
Do I have the website for you! https://planefinder.net/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • The people have spoken; bans lifted
Posting private information. The location of jets is public information, tracking them isn't illegal - anyone can view them whenever they want. For example -> https://planefinder.net. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Airplane noise in University Heights?
When I look on planefinder.net, the closest planes I can find are usually somewhere down in South Park, or often it seems like there isn't even a plane landing/taking off at that time. I'm 99% sure it isn't freeway noise down Texas either, based on how it sounds. Source: over 1 year ago
  • 20 good map websites - website to find local nonprofits, Interactive map showing the potential and problems of nuclear strikes, global ship tracking
Https://planefinder.net - life flight tracking. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Helicopter. One has been flying over downtown Bozeman all morning. any ideas why?
I understand the only point of this sub is to complain. But for future reference, FAA data is public domain and you can use a site like https://planefinder.net/ to see what’s in the sky above you. Source: over 1 year ago
  • New Update?
Oh sure, I'm not allowed... But I'm the CTO of https://planefinder.net so I have to! Source: about 2 years ago
  • US nuclear bomber flies near Russian border in chilling warning to Putin after tyrant sent ‘nuke-armed jets to Sweden’
We can too: planefinder. Currently swedish airforce 'SVF645' is patrolling the border. Source: about 2 years ago

  • Your first step guide for ‘What to do when you see a UFO’
Great post, but also to add - make sure to get landmarks in that can help judge size and do not crop or alter the video. People inspecting it can do that and stamping on the video from gps and other data can fill in blanks. If you have an iphone you can literally ask Siri what flights are overhead. There are also sites like https://www.n2yo.com/?s=28485 as well as https://planefinder.net/ and other similar apps. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Following the Russian invasion and sanctions to Russia's airspace, Georgia and Azerbaijan becomes the gateway between Asia and Europe
Not exactly. Most planes prefer Turkey, Iraq and Saudi Arabia airspace. You can look from here and here. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Lithuania closes its airspace to Russian airlines, ending direct flights to Kaliningrad exclave
The last plane just flew over: TK412 . Search for it on https://planefinder.net/. Source: about 2 years ago
