As a fellow anime collector, I'd seriously recommend not buying any anime from eBay and sticking to proxies - try Zenmarket or Buyee. Never buy anime discs from US or Japanese sellers on eBay. They will make massive mark-ups and are basically bold-faced ripping you off. Ebay for anime discs is a mugs game. Source: 5 months ago
In terms of how to buy stuff off of Mercari Japan, Zenmarket will work, although because I don't like keeping a balance, I use https://buyee.jp/. Source: 5 months ago
I will definitely check out buyee.jp and neokyo.com. Source: 5 months ago
Yahoo Shopping[1] and Auctions[2] are popular in Japan. I've used the latter via Buyee[3] to import a few items into the US from Japan. [1] https://shopping.yahoo.co.jp/ [2] https://auctions.yahoo.co.jp/ [3] https://buyee.jp. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
This is for fromjapan not buyee.jp but I didnt know which subreddit to use. There's an item I want for auction, if I bid on it and win will I be able to check how much shipping costs before I buy? The total price including taxes and whatnot. Source: 6 months ago
Second-hand sites like poshmark.com, vinted.com, mercari.com, ebay.com, bratabase.com/listings, r/braswap, I even bought a NWT Panache Wired Sports bra for $20 off Facebook marketplace! LOL. Obvi, you can still find NWT from second-hand sites). Source: about 1 year ago
The final sale stuff on Breakout Bras website is best prices I've found for the U.S. (outside of second-hand sites like poshmark.com, ebay.com vinted.com, mercari.com, the usual suspects. You can still find NWT stuff on these sites. I even found a Panache Wired Sports Bra NWT for $20 on Facebook marketplace! LOL.). Source: about 1 year ago
I have also bought a lot of yarn on Mercari Lots of hand dyed yarn, name brands from individuals de-stash, estates. Source: about 1 year ago
You can always check mercari.com as well. Source: over 1 year ago
Mercari.jp is the second most popular. Don't get this confused with mercari.com, because while it is the same company, the listings aren't transferable. Mercari is basically like facebook marketplace, first come first serve. They also hate proxy services, so its harder for people not in japan to buy from them. I'll explain more in the proxy section.
