bundle is a quick and easy way to bundle your projects, minify and see it's gzip size. It's an online tool similar to bundlephobia, but bundle does all the bundling locally on you browser and can treeshake and bundle multiple packages (both commonjs and esm) together, all without having to install any npm packages and with typescript support.

If there is something I missed, a mistake, or a feature you would like added please create an issue or a pull request and I'll try to get to it. You can contribute to this project at okikio/bundle.

You can join the discussion on Github discussions or Twitter.

You can now use search queries in bundle, all you need to do is add this to the url
?q={packages}&treeshake={methods to treeshake}

e.g.
You want react, react-dom, vue, and @okikio/animate, but only want the Animate and toStr methods exported from @okikio/animate.

You would add this to the url bundlejs.com/?q=react,react-dom,vue,@okikio/animate&treeshake=[*],[*],[*],[{Animate,toStr}]

Apache Tomcat features and specs

  • Open Source
Apache Tomcat is an open-source software, which means it is freely available for use and modifications. This can significantly reduce the cost of ownership and allows for customization.
  • Community Support
Being a widely-used open-source server, Tomcat has a large and active community of developers and users who contribute to its documentation, plugins, and forums, providing extensive support.
  • Lightweight
Tomcat is designed to be a lightweight servlet container, making it faster and less resource-intensive compared to full-blown Java EE application servers.
  • Integration with Popular Frameworks
Tomcat integrates well with popular Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate, making it easier for developers to deploy and manage web applications.
  • Easy to Set Up and Configure
Tomcat is relatively easy to set up and configure, making it suitable for both development and production environments.
  • Frequent Updates
Regular updates and patches are released to improve performance, security, and compatibility, ensuring the server is up-to-date with the latest web technologies.

Possible disadvantages of Apache Tomcat

  • Limited Functionality
While Tomcat is a powerful servlet container, it lacks some of the advanced features found in full-fledged Java EE application servers, which might be necessary for complex enterprise applications.
  • Resource Management
Tomcat's default configuration might not be suitable for high traffic web applications, requiring significant tweaking and tuning to handle heavy loads effectively.
  • Documentation Quality
The documentation, while extensive, can sometimes be hard to navigate and understand, especially for beginners. This can slow down the learning curve.
  • Limited Built-in Tools
Compared to other full-stack application servers, Tomcat comes with limited built-in tooling for monitoring, load balancing, and clustering, often requiring third-party solutions.
  • Security Concerns
As with any open-source project, security vulnerabilities may emerge. It requires constant monitoring and timely updates to ensure security.
  • Lack of EJB Support
Tomcat does not support Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB), limiting its use in scenarios where EJB is a crucial component of the architecture.

Apache Tomcat is an open source Java servlet container that functions as a web server. A Java servlet is a Java program that extends the capabilities of a server. Although servlets can respond to any types of requests, they most commonly implement applications hosted on Web servers. Such web servlets are the Java counterpart to other dynamic web content technologies such as...

  • Zod 4
These numbers don't reflect anything useful. This is the total size of the code in the package, most of which will be tree-shaken. In Zod's case, the package now contains three independent sub-libraries. • TANStack Query
Still, I'm not really sure about its dependencies: it lists react and @tanstack/react-query (as opposed to @tanstack/query-core) and bundlejs reports 124KB gzipped. Also, while using it, you still need to refer to their react docs (that documentation is really good and has a lot of examples) but not everyone will be thrilled about checking a react documentation when they're using an angular package. • Jest not recommended to be used in Node.js due to instanceOf operator issues
It's somewhere in between. React as a lib and architecture _is_ platform-agnostic. The core logic is defined in the `react-reconciler` package. It contains all the implementation of rendering components, diffing trees, managing state, and running effects, as well as all the "Suspense" implementation. However, the way `react-reconciler` works is that it's built _into_ each platform-specific renderer... - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
