I will definitely check out openlibrary.org and manybooks.net. But I want to make sure that I don't "bypass" anything because there are way too many eyes watching way too many things.

My best source for survival reference books so far has been archive.org. That was where I found a lot of the survival and wilderness medical stuff. A lot of it is "check out only", but I got a lot of useful stuff. Thinking about adding a bunch of the archived Popular Mechanics from their early days. I always get a kick out of the do it yourself projects and their projects from pre 1970 look like they would be great because they didn't incorporate a lot of electronics back then.
