I would also recommend Calibre. Some of the stuff has cost but a large amount of it is free. Again, you would be surprised as to what is there for free. -

You can use your browser for both, there are extensions(FireFox - PDF & EPUB/Chrome - PDF& EPUB) for that. In case, you want you use a separate software for them, I suggest SumatraPDF--it handles both PDFs and .EPUB files. -

Honestly, with the price of sheet music these days, you're better off just downloading from imslp.org or scribd.com and printing out on paper at your local copy/print shop. You can find all sorts of free sheet music online. It'll probably cost less than buying the music outright. -
