    > So I’m stuck writing code all day long with light schemes. Don't feel stuck! I see so many people preferring the dark background for terminals and editors, and I just scratch my head. Maybe it's highly personal, but light themes really reduce the fatigue on my eyes, and I find them much preferable. If you like solarized light, you might want to try gruvbox light [0], which I find even easier on the eyes. [0] https://github.com/morhetz/gruvbox.

    f. lux is a piece of software for Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android that provides a blue light filter over your screen. Research suggests limiting our exposure to blue light in the hours before bedtime can help us fall asleep faster.
This is the same reason I went to gruvbox from solarized. The warmer colors keep their contrast even with Flux[0] late into the night. 0: https://justgetflux.com/.

It's really cool to see people paying that much attention to getting a reasonably consistent look and feel for their code editors and other pieces of software. Personally I'm using another such theme, which is called Dracula and supports a variety of programs: https://draculatheme.com/ That one is the default for many of the JetBrains IDEs (e.g. IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, WebStorm and others), as well as was a surprisingly reasonable setup for PowerShell, where some of the colors were otherwise hard to see sometimes.
