Https://swup.js.org/ single-page-app but with minimal framework, still along for the feel of an SPA. - Source: dev.to / 9 days ago
Sure, you can use any number of JS-avoidance libraries. I'm a fan of Turbo, and there's also htmx, Unpoly, Alpine, hyperscript, swup, barba.js, and probably others. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
Swup is this nice page transition library I found recently : https://swup.js.org/. Source: 5 months ago
So what are View Transitions good for? In short, they allow adding animated page transitions. Although we already have several standard options to animate stuff on web pages (CSS Transitions, CSS Animations or the Web Animations API) and countless more options in particular JavaScript frameworks and libraries (Framer Motion for React, Vue Transitions, Svelte Transitions, Swup, Barba.js or Animate.css to name just... - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
Is https://turbo.hotwired.dev/ my replacement? Or Swup.js? Source: about 1 year ago
I've used https://swup.js.org/. Simple to setup with one of the built in/contributed themes, haven't tried building a custom theme however. Also has a lot of good plugins for eg. accessibility. I used it in combination with Astro so a static site with a separate html file for each page. Source: over 1 year ago
Like Gatsby or Next, Astro does not have any client side navigation. So each link click triggers a full page reload. Astro recommends to use Swup as mentioned here. Turbo is also another option though the team does not recommend it. I'm currently using Swup which I'll probably switch from or completely remove it as I have added TOC to MDX and clicking on a title is not redirecting the page to that particular section. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
I've come across swup , HighwayJS and barba js. Source: over 1 year ago
I tried Barba in the past, but I found it rather tricky to manage and update. I prefer swup.js with the js plugin (if I need GSAP to handle transitions). Smoother and lighter, easier to understand, works well with wordpress if you have deep understanding of all the plugins you’ll be using. Source: over 1 year ago
Haven't spun up fresh, but this is what Astro uses for SPA-like behaviour (client-side routing), and it comes as a plugin: https://swup.js.org/. Source: over 1 year ago
Barba is good for this sort of thing. It may be a little heavy for just page transitions. maybe pjax or swup might be easier? Source: over 2 years ago
I wanted to give the website the feeling that it is a single-page web application by making page transitions. The history API was the answer to this. However, after doing some research, I've found that the history API doesn't come without its caveats and edge-case problems. Instead of taking the time to further research and write code for all of that, I decided to use an already existing plugin, Swup. Not only... - Source: dev.to / about 3 years ago
