  • Rant: SendGrid is a joke
Deliverability: Even switching to SendGrid dedicated IPs won't fix the problem (multiple reasons why). Using Amazon SES or Postmarkapp ( https://postmarkapp.com/ ) is better because they have stricter rules about only opt-in emails. However these are only SMTP services and don't handle the more complex features. - Source: Reddit / 5 days ago
  • Issues with Sendgrid
Again, for better deliverability look at https://postmarkapp.com/ and https://aws.amazon.com/ses/. - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
  • Reply triggers false alarm?
I have setup DMARC on my domain with the option to quarantine emails. I do get a weekly digest from postmarkapp.com for this domain. It is my personal email domain and it does not process a lot of emails, probably less than 5 per day. - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
  • Email Solutions (SES vs Selfhosted)
Https://postmarkapp.com/ Has been my go to, sounds very similar to Mail gun but pricing might be a little cheaper. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
  • SES, sending rate, and dedicated IP addresses
Postmark (https://postmarkapp.com/) is extremely good as an email delivery platform. We find they out-compete everyone with deliverability and latency (and parts of our service are pretty sensitive to email latency). - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
  • Ask HN: How do you send emails from your backend?

  • Intro to Transactional Emails
When you have a solid user database and various email notifications are a crucial part of their user experience, it makes sense to rely on an email sending provider that can offer a scalable email infrastructure. This is a more tech-savvy method as you will very probably need to manage email triggers and set sequences on your app’s backend, but it provides you with greater flexibility. Reputable transactional... - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago

  • How do I (learn to) make really good emails?
Did you build emails in isolation and then drop them into a web framework like Rails/Laravel or was there a different workflow? I've seen the ability in tools like Postmark to upload your templates and then have your app make API requests to send emails that way but it does seem additionally complicated. - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
  • Anyone have experience with both Twilio and AWS communication services?
I've also heard good things about Postmark and have personally used and had no problem with Mailgun. - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago

  • SendGrid alternative (for SimpleLogin)
I'm a big fan of Postmark for transactional emails. Not really much else to say about them but they've just never given me any problems and the pricing is good. I think they now handle marketing emails as well via different "streams" if that's something you need as well. - Source: Reddit / 8 months ago
  • Which Heroku Email Add-on do you use for user sign ups?

  • How do you guys automate emails with django?
If you insist on sending emails and running the campaigns yourself I can recommend Postmark: https://postmarkapp.com/ I migrated away from Sendgrid to Postmark a while ago and I'm really happy with the service. Plus, Postmark lets you send emails through a regular SMTP interface, so Django's built-in email tools will work just fine. - Source: Reddit / 12 months ago
