  • Pet walking company refuses to delete account unless i upload my ID to a third party
I believe there are tools like which help you send an email to the company, citing all the laws that obligate them to delete all your data. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Do you get random calls from unknown numbers?
I used a website that automatically sent emails to any company, that had my email address on their contact list, and it sent them a notice to delete any data they had on me (under GDPR), since then I haven't had spam calls. The site I used was called, there's others like that but this one was trustworthy. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Deleting Old Email Accounts
As stated in the title, I'm wondering if it's a good idea to delete my old email accounts because I want to narrow down the number of email accounts that I have and save myself the stress of having so many. I'm hesitant to delete them because I deleted an email account when I was younger and realized that there was a Facebook and Skype account I forgot to get rid of and now I can't delete those without the... • Received these emails 2 hours apart. Is my Gmail account compromised in some way?
Go to and, first one is to see if you email has been in any data breaches, second is to ask companies to remove your data so nothing like this happens again. Source: almost 2 years ago

  • Are there any decent fully automated alternatives to yet?
Hello, I signed up for and tried using, and sure it works. But the execution is poor. I have hundreds of accounts I want to request data removals for. And while saymine will send the initial emails for me, it's up to me to respond to each email. I've been getting like 30 emails a day, from companies asking me to verify this or do that, before I can remove my data. I don't have the time to do that.... Source: about 2 years ago

  • LPT: Use the Right to be Forgotten (even if you do not have it legally where you live) to block online sites from sharing your personal data
The automatic solution I've found is to use Mine. There are plenty of tools that do the same, I chose this one because it has the largest user base (not affiliated with it, do what you wish). These kinds of tools show you which companies have your data and let you send deletion requests kinda fast, and that’s exactly what I did for 85% of my digital footprint. The exciting news is that almost all companies (even... Source: about 2 years ago

  • Is there any program that list out the website I'm registered to based on my emails?
So depending on what you are asking, maybe. I recently started using Say Mine to determine what websites I am registered to. It functions by you providing access to your emails and it scanning them and making a list of the websites that may have your info. It provides a brief summary of the type of info they may have but it seems like an educated guess at best. Their whole spiel is that they'll help you remove... Source: over 2 years ago

  • Ask HN: Its been stated previously, but is anyone else's Gmail inbox spam filled
Tonight, set aside 30 minutes to an hour, pour yourself a glass of wine, put on some half-interesting sitcom in the background and start unsubscribing from every undesirable source of email you find, from latest to least-latest. If you can't find a direct unsub button, use a service like Say Mine[0] to automate GDPR requests and have your name scrubbed from their records. Yes, it takes a little bit of up-front... - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
