  • Alternatives to Lottiefiles
The original Lottie by Airbnb, is offered for free and allows us to implement the bodymovin json files into web and mobile apps, which is also very cool. (https://airbnb.design/lottie/). Source: 12 months ago
  • Problem on KivyMD application that use camera4kivy
    # see https://lottiefiles.com/ for examples and https://airbnb.design/lottie/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Which JS animation library do you use? Looking for the best performance and easiest implementation.
Sometimes you want the animator/designer to be able to completely own the animation process and build with no-code--and you just embed their creation and own interactivity. Lottie was king here for a while. Rive is in same space and I've heard good things. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Sharingan into a Mangekyou animation loader created using SwiftUI
This is a great exercise but for those not familiar with it, production apps should generally use Lottie for something like this: https://airbnb.design/lottie/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • [Hiring] I need a very simple HTML animation. Can someone help me with this? More than happy to pay for it!
This is a popular tool to get AE animations on the web Lottie Maybe that could work for you. I know you’re looking to hire someone but it’s just a suggestion. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How is this animated scrolling behavior made? What JavaScript library is used here?
An option: Lottie animation that moves through the frames as the user scrolls https://airbnb.design/lottie/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What's The Industry Standard Way Of Working With Complex SVG's?
So far my research has led me to SVGator, Lottie and GSAP. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How do you create an animated menu like this?
Other people mentioned SVGator (Free version or Paid version) or Lottie (Free but needs Adobe After Effects or other tool to create animation JSON), which are another options. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Help with animation
That one is made with Lottie: https://airbnb.design/lottie/ they have done this to ensure that the text scales depending on the size of the window. Nothing stopping you from making this with a bit of CSS and JS. Three items stacked vertically in an overflow container, and move them up one by one and move the one that goes out of the frame to the bottom of the stack when it's out of view. • Ask HN: Why Adobe still can't figure out Flash on WASM?
I think something like what you're wishing for will happen, but I don't think it will come from Adobe. I explored a bunch of apps in this category over the weekend and was pretty impressed with what's out there, although it still feels early. Rive (https://rive.app/) is probably the one I'm most excited about; their state-machine approach is novel (at least to me) and feels like a solid approach. The Lottie... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Brilliant.org Animations
For their animation at the top of their homepage, it looks like they just put in an mp4. However, if you are planning on using animations on one of your own websites, I would not recommend doing that. A better alternative is probably using Lottie or Rive, as the files are significantly smaller and can be more dynamic. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What is creating this animation?
I'd recommend anyone starting out with these kinds of animations to look at Lottie: https://airbnb.design/lottie/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Newbie to webdev: What would be the best format to go about animating this interactive element? Pictured here is a rough sample.
Here's the link to the actual tech: https://airbnb.design/lottie/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Looking for a way to showcase mini video demos of software on my website
So I was inspecting the code on the webflow website and it seems like they are using something called lottie if you inspect the "videos" you'll notice they are not videos they are animated SVG's. I've never used lottie before so I'm not sure how it works so I can't help much there it seems to be a way to use after effects animation on the web and on apps as lightweight SVG animations instead of video, I also found... • How to make complex animations
The animation can be make in After effect and export with Lottie. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • I came across this video on instagram and out of curiosity I wanted to ask the community, what language can I use to code the animations? This seems more than bare css code. Or are the animations imported some how? I’m new to web dev
You can actually "import it somehow" too. You can use Lottie to import animations created in and exported from After Effects in JSON. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Any tips or tutorials on how to create an effect like this on scroll? Aiming to create it from scratch but have no idea where to start..
If you are going to use After effects, you can as well export it as a Lottie animation (JSON / SVG), and control it frame by frame. Source: over 2 years ago
  • First Glance: Lottie Animations
The first time I heard lottie animations, I googled it and landed lottiefiles.com. It was unfortunate to land lottiefiles.com, because I missed understanding the whole concept of lottie animations. I thought lottie animations bound to lottiefiles.com but in reality, it was not. Lottiefiles.com is only a showroom, library, and gathering point for designers and developers. The main lottie animations is lottie by... - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
  • What I Learned as a Web Dev on My First React Native Project
You can use the built-in Animated API, which performs well especially when using useNativeDriver: true prop. However, you get the best performance with the React-Native-Reanimated library, which is currently being upgraded to version 2 and expectations are high! Note that this only works with Hermes enabled (see the next section). More sophisticated animations used to, for example, wow users with an eye-catching... - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
  • Awesome flutter image components
Lottie [627⭐] - Use airbnb's popular After Effects Animation library by xvrh. - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
  • Send email interaction
It’s an AfterEffects animation rendered in native apps using AirBnB’s Lottie. Source: over 2 years ago
