  • 📨 Building your Email API with Fastmail for free!
Have you ever wondered how to host an email system without paying even a single penny? Well, this blog will guide you through the process of building your own email system on Node.js with the integration of fastmail.com. - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
  • Staying logged in/remembering cookies in specific containers only?
Hi, I have recently added a few exceptions to cookie auto-deletion, e.g. To ensure my email provider (fastmail.com) remains logged in. However, for other parties who I do not trust, such as Google, I don't want to remember cookies 99% of the time. Source: 9 months ago
  • Domains and Email hosting
Used to use MXRoute but noticed emails to Gmail and other providers were not getting through. Switched over to Fastmail highly recommend it. Source: 10 months ago
  • Chrome extension for managing your masked emails is now available!
I too use a catchall address... And I'm always disappointed when Fastmail doesn't take all of the addresses that I get email sent to, and turn them into masked emails automatically! I guess masked emails are for people who dont have a custom domain and want to use their fastmail.com address, with some kind of email forwarding. Source: 10 months ago
  • Looking to change hosting services, forget $5 fees!
I'm personally partial to fastmail.com for a conventional business email provider that respects privacy and has a common sense 'good enough' configuration for the vast majority of small businesses. Source: 12 months ago
  • Masked Email & Migration
So I started to realize that I really have put all of my eggs in one basked with FM. I have 185 masked email addresses on the fastmail.com domain. If I had to do it again, I'd have gone with a custom domain + catch all for easy migration. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Mail Spam
Icloud, according to the tech, uses the email server you choose for your apple ID. So I dutifully went to fastmail.com, logged in, and prohibited all russian emails. This reduced a number of spam messages but didn't stop them. On icloud.com, you can only set up rules. Unfortunately, the spam emails are just a tad different for each email to bypass singular rules. • Talk nerdy to me
Bonus tip: visit PrivacyTools.io - almost everything you use day-to-day online is tracking you and selling your digital breadcrumbs to advertisers (i.e. Google Mail, Microsoft Outlook/Hotmail). Doing simple things such as moving to a privacy-aware email service (such as FastMail), using a modern DNS service (like NextDNS), and turning on a VPN when browsing via. Public WiFI (ProtonVPN) will dramatically increase... Source: about 1 year ago
  • migrating from iCloud to fastmail
If I set up everything with FM: - using my own domain should take a matter of minutes - I would need to set up again all 90 hide my email addresses as my understanding is they would all end in fastmail.com, therefore I'd need to change them on all websites. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Is rule creation really this primitive? (Fastmail.com)
On Fastmail.com I can't see ANY way to do something similar with an easy-to-use wizard that pre-populates data from a selected message. I have to go into settings, find the rules button, and create a new rule from scratch. I then I have to open another fastmail.com window, find the message I want to create a rule for, copy/paste the email header info that I want to base a rule on, switch back to the rule... • All SimpleLogin domains blocked by a global blacklist
Same as Apple is doing with iCloud.com or Fastmail with fastmail.com (and other domains). Source: over 1 year ago
  • Is Anyone Hosting a Private Email Server on Verizon FiOS Residential Service?
I’d give Fastmail a try https://fastmail.com . I’ve been using them for 15 years without any complaints. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Readdle's Spark mail app update comes with unremovable "Sent with Spark" watermark, which you can only remove with a 70€ yearly subscription. There goes my favorite productivity app down in the Trash
At this point, may I recommend fastmail.com? Their apps aren't very pretty and also don't do many smart things, but they get the basics right and are a great options if you want to move your email to a custom domain. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Is it possible to add a custom domain email address to a third party app?
I have a normal fastmail.com email address as well as an email address at a custom domain. Is it possible to access the custom domain email via a third party app or is it only accessible via the fastmail app? The app password only seems to work for the fastmail addresses. • Fastmail Email Account: If i stop to pay what happen?
But my question is, in future if I will stop to use my @ fastmail.com address the username will be recycled and will be assigned to a new user if asked or it will not? Source: over 1 year ago
  • Has anyone gone from self-hosted email to a service like Proton Mail?
I went from selfhosted to fastmail.com on their standard plan. Very pleased with the move. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Masked emails with fastmail.com as domain vs your own domain
Yeah sounds great, should have thought of that also before actually creating 100 masked emails and changing 99% of my accounts with those masked emails with the fastmail.com domain in them xD. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Masked emails with fastmail.com as domain vs your own domain
While this sounds very interesting and useful, if I do this I would have to change all the masked emails I have already created, will have to change the 1Password entries again, all of them, I think I'm gonna go nuts and don't know exactly if I should really do it or just go along with the fastmail.com domain. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Masked emails with fastmail.com as domain vs your own domain
Now when I firstly created the Fastmail account, I was so excited to change 99% of my accounts emails with masked emails that I didn't actually thought of getting a domain and using it for this. I created a lot of masked emails and all of them are with fastmail.com domain in them. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Anyone knows what's wrong with Ooredoo ?
Some websites won't send me the sms verification code at all to my Ooredoo phone, if I switch my stc line I get the sms codes. Anyone knows of a solution ? I've contacted them multiple times and they say no issue from their side but I know they're just lying. Example of a website : fastmail.com when I sign up it asks for phone verification and it never reaches me. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Java Mail Sender authentication failed
First I tried with gmail but they have removed the allow less secure apps thing and in order to use the smtp you have to turn on 2fa and use their api which I'm not gonna do. So I tried using different mail providers like mail.com gmx.com inbox.lv fastmail.com But every time I try to send a mail I connect to the server but get authentication failed exception. What could be the problem? Source: almost 2 years ago
