  • Calendar advice for home + work?
I use an app called Fantastical (https://flexibits.com/fantastical). I believe it is macOS/iOS only, but there might be alternatives with work with other systems. Basically, I add in my work Office365 account and my personal iCloud and it shows everything together. Whenever I'm making an appointment, I just check that rather than my Outlook calendar. • Sick of Fastmails subpar iOS app
Looks like most of your issues are with the calendar. For this I highly recommend an app dedicated to this, like Fantastical, BusyCal, Calendar366 or even a native ios calendar app. These apps have clients for ios, macos and even watchos. Lots of config options and nice features and timely notifications. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Productivity apps - recommendations needed
I personally have been trying out Fantastical and it literally is life changing doing everything in a calendar. You can make a recurring event or something and have it notify you whenever you want. The time limit can be achieved by just creating the duration. Although I'm unsure about the "mark as done" functionality. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Todo app that syncs with calendar?
Fantastical https://flexibits.com/fantastical. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Whats your favourite app that can work as a calendar and also effectively time-block out tasks?
By 2022, I was hot and heavy on Todoist. It seemed like a great solution and had a ton of integrations, but it lacked in a few areas. There was no calendar view in the app. That’s not so bad, since I do most of the scheduling in Google Calendar. But it is a little tough when try to add to-dos and see where they fit into your schedule (time blocking). Also, Todoist has this whole “thing” about being minimalist, but... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Show HN: Grila – Calendar for keyboard addicts, always one keypress away
For a beefier (and pricier) option, Fantastical is another great one keypress option: https://flexibits.com/fantastical It supports creating events and viewing weather, though none of that other stuff. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Best Calendar Apps??
My second option would be Fantastical. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Reminders not showing in calendar?
There are third party apps that can show Calendar and Reminders together. If you want one that is primarily a calendar but can also show your reminders, look at Fantastical or Calendars. If you want one that is primarily a reminders app but can also show calendar events, look at GoodTask. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Calendar app/widget
I feel like an ad...I could go on with its features but I'll just provide a link https://flexibits.com/fantastical. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Are there any CalDav clients that support entering calendar dates by keyboard only?
No, it’s Apple only. https://flexibits.com/fantastical. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Using the calendar app on your phone is a non negotiable must for everyone with ADHD!
In place of Calendar, I use Fantastical. Which has apparently added task management? Huh. News to me. It's got a pretty nice UI and natural-language parsing for adding entries. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Looking for a calendar + todo app.
Fantastical, though it's a paid product. I can't remember but I think you can keep using the free/trial version, which would still cover everything you mentioned and more. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • What are the must-have apps for Mac in 2022?
From a coder perspective, these are the ones I could not live without: - Alfred - goes without saying. It's all in the name ;-) - VSCode - I used SublimeText for a long time, but VSCode is just too good to not switch. It has all I ever wanted, and I tweaked the rest :-) - 1password - I tried lots of others (Enpass, KeePass(x/ce), LastPass, BitWarden) but 1p is just another level of usability (especially with this... • Which ADHD-friendly app is the best for daily planning and reminders?
Fantastical: I can’t stand the default Apple Calendar app. It’s fine, but it’s extremely limited and lacks many features that are standard for modern calendar applications (this tends to happen with many of Apple’s in-house apps, like Calendar and Mail—they favour stability over increased functionality). Fantastical has natural language parsing, so you can type or dictate the details of an event into a single... Source: almost 2 years ago
  • MacOS Convert: Fantastical equivalent?
Of the many Mac apps that have kept me on that addled platform for too long now is the most excellent Fantastical. It's unfortunately MacOS only though, and staying on MacOS is just unacceptable, so it's gotta get replaced. Source: about 2 years ago

  • Calendar replacement that shows how many reminders per day are in weekly/monthly view
I've been using Fantastical for over a year now and it works great for me as I can see all my events and reminders for each day. iCal, Reminders, Google Calendar, and Google Tasks syncing work really well, too. There's a day ticker, a month overview, and a week view all in one screen (you can customise it, but this works for me so I've never changed it), so in one go I can see everything that's on in my week. The 13 best calendar apps for Android and iOS help you organize a chaotic day
Many of the app’s features are standard fare and just what you’d expect a calendar app to offer, but Fantastical 2 strives to make every process more convenient in order to save time. For example, you can start a sentence with “reminder,” “to do,” or “task” to create reminders, or use phrases like “remind me tomorrow at 3PM,” or “alarm 3PM” to set new alerts. You can also add a geofence to an alert so that it’ll...
Beyond Google Calendar and Apple Calendar: The 18 Best Apps to Manage Your Schedule
While it's nice to have the mobile app, Fantastical 2 is at its best on desktop. The app is colorful without being gaudy or overwhelming, and it's easy to use without sacrificing control over your event details. On a Mac, the menu bar app lets you quickly add an event or see what's on your agenda in the coming days. Adding details to your events—such as notes, URLs, invitees, and locations—feels quick and smooth....
