There's a Mac application called Yate which is a music library manager. It can query AcoustID, MusicBrainz, and Discogs and re-tag your files and move/copy them to whatever directory structure you like (doesn't have to rename the files). Tip for the community if you’re a KJ or enthusiast who uses a Mac. There is a utility called Yate that is a Swiss Army knife for ID3 tagging, file renaming etc etc. Complex, but very powerful.. Anyway, I wanted to use it to cleanup some of the tags and file naming on my collection. Since I Use CDG’s it was important that they match the MP3 file name before the suffix. With Mac OS, is there a way to open a folder in two apps at the same time? I will often drag a folder containing music files to the task bar, onto to an app icon in order to load the files. Usually I'll do this once for IINA to play the files and repeat the process for Yate so that I can edit the metadata while I listen. Ideally, I would like to do this with a single action.
