I'm not sure how to connect the html code to the domain name? I don't see an interface from web.com (purchasing site) other than their expensive website building packages. A good analogy is to look at Network Solutions. It's a horrible company that is owned by web.com. Web.com only cares about sales and marketing. The registrar aspects just a path to cross-sell you on bullshit services. Source: 11 months ago
This sucks. What I liked about Google Domains is that price remained the same year after year. Most registers are owned by a couple companies (web.com or something?) and every renewal it is some jacked up artificial price. $12 for the first year and somehow it is $36+ for the next? Write it all down in a planner (hard copy or digital- I prefer paper because my pen-brain connection is stronger). Need to reply to an email? Schedule it for Thursday at 10am. Call a friend? Put it on the books with a time. Trash goes out on Tuesdays? Make a note with a checklist for Monday nights. Also ask the developer how they want to work, and if there is a software they like to use to facilitate the work. Are they Kanban? Scrum? Waterfall? Watch a video or two on the do's and don't of the one method the Dev wants to use, so you know what to expect if your developer asks you for a "Story" or a "Task" or a "Ticket" or if you need to 'clarify acceptance criteria', which is literally what I was doing at...
