You can check your status (or actually register to vote) by going to vote.org and selecting your state. It's simple and takes very little time. Look into A Place for Marsha and Rainbow Railroad for housing once you've secured a job. Elevate Access can help fly you out to your new state. There are definitely FB groups dedicated to LGBT housing/roommates, but I don't use FB so hopefully, someone can comment some group names for you. Everywhere is Queer has queer friendly job postings.
