> As a thought experiment, we're almost there! We could technically have `win95.img + bochs86vm.wasm + autorun.inf + msword.exe` wrapped in a "browser evaluator" I looked into this and... Holy crap! We are there. Not for modern programs quite yet, sure, but this is amazing. You can use Windows 2000 from your browser. https://copy.sh/v86/?profile=windows2000. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago

It's great that someone is trying to preserve these operating systems. However the choice of limiting it to 1 user per OS at a time makes the museum/website unusable. You would be surprised how stupid Label employees can be, they even give stuff that is "confidential" to unpaid interns to post on their internal pages like box.com or their disco.ac pages. I've seen so many demos, instrumentals and albums posted somewhere public because they got someone to do a half assed job at it. Source: 12 months ago
I often use dropbox, box.com or google drive for files/folders I want the share between my Ubuntu laptop and server, I also do the same with a local server drive - the cloud services are handy if I'm not at home and need to access something. Source: 12 months ago
