  • Just wanted to share my windows automation for shrinking plex media file size
I don't want to undermine your effort here, but checkout Tdarr. Source: 6 months ago
  • Kubernetes on an i3 540 (first gen)
You could use the GPU for distributed transcoding / ai stuff. https://home.tdarr.io/. Source: 11 months ago
  • Remux VC-1 to h264 or h265 or have plex play nicely with VC-1?
Outside of that, if you're looking for better overall direct play compatibility, there are quite a few ways to reencode the video while keeping the original audio/subtitle tracks. E.g. In HandBrake, you can choose the 'XYZ Passthru' option on the audio tracks, and if you choose an MKV container, you can add all existing subtitle tracks without burning them in: https://i.imgur.com/3BAiGTS.gif. • Google is finally nagging me about exceeding my storage pool (single workspace account). What are people using now for cheap backup storage?
The A2000 goes for about 250-290€, only uses 75W and has unlimited video encoding threads (as has the P2000), while the 3060 only has a max of 5 (locked by Nvidia). I have a P2000 in my Unraid system and it could do up to 14x 4k to 1080p transcodes... And that thing is from 2017. The A2000 has 1 generation newer ENC engine and 2 generations newer DEC engine. You could also use both cards perfectly with... Source: 11 months ago
  • I think I have a problem....
The only problem I see here is that you haven't queued up enough work for all your parts. Can I introduce you to our Lord and Savior tdarr? https://home.tdarr.io/. Source: 12 months ago

  • Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me!! Recent streaming services, prices and shows getting butchered, finally decided its time. Here's how a basic self-hosted 'Netflix' would look like. Fully automated once its setup. Using only a makeshift homelab server from second hand parts.
The Overseer part In truth, I'm less familiar with and it's full feature set, But at a quick glance it looks like it would be similar to ombi (https://ombi.io/). I know for a fact that you can set up OMBI to let users just type in stuff and it will grab it for them. I didn't like that and opted to manually approve requests. Source: 11 months ago
  • This would have made my life so much easier in the beginning....
Now add Ombi so that shared plex users have the ability to request content by themselves. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Plex, sonarr, and radarr have saved my sanity... and ruined my gaming computer at the same time
Now pipe that all through ombi and you will live like a king! Also, don't forget to add your watchlist from plex to radarr and sonarr. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Looking for something similar
If what you're looking for is a request handled from the user's you give access to. Then you should check out Ombi. Ombi. Source: over 1 year ago
  • LPT: You can set up a free VPN server on your router to watch Netflix as if you are at home
I use Jellyfin to host my media and Ombi for users to request media. Ombi sends user requests to Radarr for movies, and Sonarr for TV shows. Source: over 1 year ago
