Static Site Boilerplate features and specs

  • Performance
Static Site Boilerplate is known for its fast loading times since it serves static files, which can be delivered quickly from a CDN.
  • Security
Static sites have fewer attack vectors compared to dynamic sites, reducing vulnerabilities like SQL injection and server-side attacks.
  • Scalability
Static Site Boilerplate inherently supports high scalability because static files can be easily replicated on multiple servers.
  • Simplicity
The framework is straightforward and simple to use, making it accessible to developers who want to create fast and efficient websites with minimal configuration.
  • No Server-Side Dependency
Since the output is purely static files, there's no need for any backend infrastructure or server management.

Possible disadvantages of Static Site Boilerplate

  • Limited Dynamic Functionality
Static Site Boilerplate is not ideal for websites that require server-side processing or real-time dynamic content as it does not support traditional backend server logic.
  • Content Management
Managing and updating content can be more cumbersome without a content management system (CMS) integrated into the workflow.
  • Build Time
With large sites, the build process can become time-consuming, as regenerating static files for every change takes time.
  • Initial Setup Complexity
For beginners, the initial setup and understanding of static site generation tools might seem complex compared to using a CMS.
  • Limited Interactivity
While possible to enhance with JavaScript, static sites inherently don't support highly interactive elements natively without additional scripting.

New users unfamiliar with data visualization concepts may face a small learning curve when trying to understand how to effectively use the tool’s features.
  • Subscription Costs
For full functionality, there may be subscription costs involved, which could be a downside for budget-conscious individuals or small teams.

  • Anyone know how to create widgets like example?
Definitely https://notion2charts.com with the KPI widget. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Need Some help creating a mind map/flow chart?
Think of it as another option to see your DB like gallery or cards, but items will be on a free canvas where you can move them around, link them together (like the recent subtask / dependency link), double click to open the page. It will be embeddable just like you can embed a chart with Notion2Chartsor a map using Notion map. Source: about 2 years ago
  • As much as I love Notion… sometimes it's important to know that it's just a tool
Talking about notion as a tool... You can use this one https://notion2charts.com/ 😂. Source: over 2 years ago
  • does anyone have any site tips or something to make statistics (of databases, mainly) in notion?
This is probably what you are looking for. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Is there a way to display data from notion databases?
Depends what specifically you're looking for. I have a habit tracker and use notion2charts (https://notion2charts.com/) to create a line graph wherein x is the date and y is percentage of habits completed, but they also have bar, pie, and kpi charts. One downside is you can only have one free chart but for me it works just fine. Hope this helps! Source: over 2 years ago
