You could try out https://github.com/sivel/speedtest-cli instead on Ubuntu and see what that comes up with but if it’s still detecting a random, far-away server then you’ll have to use the help options to narrow down your test to your country.   You can also try remapping mouse buttons. I use autohotkey to remap the middle clock to the right click. Autohotkey is windows only, but there is autokey which might help if you are a heavy middle click user like me. Source: about 1 year ago
