You can update your login information (same as spectrum.net info), don't use WPS, and if you notice anything immediately suspicious, it's best to cut everything off until you can figure things out, which usually a simple factory reset would resolve granted nothing has been really screwed up. Sure enough, upload speeds were unchanged. So I called tech support. The first rep didn't know anything about symmetrical and even argued with me that they don't support that. For months I haven't been able to connect to spectrum.com . All I get is a spinning wheel that never stops. No such problems with the rest of the internet.
