I wonder what would happen if you tried using something like psping to do a TCP ping to the router. You can get that here if you don't already have it https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/psping. Source: about 2 years ago
A great tool is test FW rules is PSPing, it allows you to ping TCP ports to test your rules. Https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/psping I use it all the time. Source: about 2 years ago
PSPing could also be used as it does a TCP latency check rather than ICMP (see here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/psping). Source: over 2 years ago

Then I added auth-user-pass "filename" (I used credentials.conf) into the .ovpn so it can log itself in and get the VPN up. I went into docker exec -it qbittorrent /bin/bash and confirmed I was on the VPN connection and not my WAN using curl... Source: about 1 year ago

If the rule is disabled, the pfsense machine checks updates and packages just fine and the sites all load. Running curl -4 ifconfig.co shows the pfsense VM is not going through the vpn tunnel as it is showing the non-vpn ip. Source: over 1 year ago
