Try to improve your loopback performance. The game uses two seperate processes because reasons, and they comminicate with each other over the loopback device. You'd probably assume this is really efficient and limited only by your memory bandwidth + a small overhead. The overhead is actually very large. Getting a user's location from their IP should be possible with something like this https://ipgeolocation.io/ (free for up to 1000 requests per day which my puny website will never get). Latitude + longitude data from this service could be used to place the location dot accurately on the globe, although I'd have to look more into the math aspect of that before.
