  • Tauri 2.0 tries to make mobile apps crossplatform
    - they provide official plugins for common-usecases (SQL, config, etc) - Rust is fun and interesting to learn for folks like me used to high-level languages like JS or Python What I don't like as much: - facing webview-specific UI issues (feature X does not work on Safari, Y not on gtk-webview etc), with Electron, you know if X works on Windows, it will work on Linux or MacOS - some rough edges with the framework... - Source: Hacker News / 2 months ago
  • Are there any decent Music Players for Linux, or is there a way to use MusicBee with wine?
Anyways, Elisa and Museeks, are pretty good. Source: over 1 year ago

JQBX mentions (8)

  • I kinda miss Radio being a main way to discover music
If you're a Spotify user I recommend jqbx.fm. It's got a small population so there aren't that many rooms but they play some really good music. I have about 4-5 rooms I hop around when I'm doing work and JQBX has a few cool functions like starring songs which automatically adds it to your Spotify. Source: about 2 years ago
  • what to do while drinking alone
If you like music, you can join the music/chat-channels on jqbx.fm and we can have a drink together, chat and listening to music..? Source: over 2 years ago
  • Does anyone else struggle with finding new music and actually listening to it?
I discovered a website/app called JQBX a few years ago where a bunch of other music obsessed people share music through premium Spotify. The community there is amazing (and very tight knit), I have discovered 99% of my new favourite bands on there, I usually hang in the room called ☁️ Chill Vibes ☁️. Highly recommend if you want to find new music. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Music-sharing focused social media?
If you have Spotify Premium check out JQBX. You join genre themed rooms with live chat and join the queue to add your song choices to the rotation. I haven't been in on a while so I don't know how active it is at the moment but it's a fun way to share and discover and talk about music together. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Mainstream music
My friend, if you have spotify premium (I know, it's a pity that it doesn't also work with youtube) I recommend jqbx.fm It's where the music nerds hang out on the internet. Source: almost 3 years ago
