An interactive map of live radio stations across the globe.
Ever tried radio.garden ? Basically a database of online radio stations all over the world but in a 'globe' form and super easy to use. I live in the US and considering just a handful of mega-conglomerates own most of the radio stations you mostly hear the same music anywhere [not counting some small indie or college stations]. With radio.garden I can listen to stations anywhere in the world and discover new music I would never hear in the states. You can search by country or city but I typically just search for different genres.

28 unique channels of radio broadcasting from San Francisco
I'm surprised no one has mentioned SomaFM. "Over 30 channels of commercial-free, human-curated radio programming focusing on non-mainstream music." Something for every mood.

turntable.fm for spotify
If you're a Spotify user I recommend jqbx.fm. It's got a small population so there aren't that many rooms but they play some really good music. I have about 4-5 rooms I hop around when I'm doing work and JQBX has a few cool functions like starring songs which automatically adds it to your Spotify.
