You appear naiive in every sense of the word. Stop getting your info from your "trusted adult" or reddit for that matter. Get your credit report and scores from the only trusted sources: MyFico or Annual Credit Report. Yeah, we all have 40+ different credit scores. Your CK scores are "legit" in terms that they're accurate VS3 (VantageScore 3.0) it's just that VS3 is rarely used in lending decisions which makes them nearly irrelevant. Fico scores are used the the majority of lending decisions, with Fico 8 being the most commonly used model today. The Fico 9 you are getting is lesser used than Fico 8 since few lenders adopted... When a company does an inquiry without your requesting it, like for a "pre-qualified" offer for a credit card, that's a soft inquiry and it doesn't show as a hard inquiry on your credit report.
