I suppose the writer will have to wait a few more years before apple 'reinvents' the touch screen and convinces everyone they invented the touchscreen laptop. Notice how just about every other manufacture has a touch screen offering. The same was true for DVD writers back when apple called it the super drive. Many devices on the market came with DVD writers. The ipad pro as great as it is, will not replace a... - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
In my case, I use Windows Terminal which is a free and more feature complete terminal program for Windows. I find its support for various ANSI terminal attributes more complete than say something like putty. However, it does have an issue with incorrectly handling C-spc. Source: 12 months ago
I just use Windows Terminal (Preview version): https://github.com/microsoft/terminal and adjust its settings there. Source: about 1 year ago
Either Wezterm OR Window-terminal I Personally use WindowTERM with alacritty * when needed Since WindowTerm has some weird ncurses issues ,. Source: about 1 year ago
The impression I got from reading through some of the Windows Terminal[0] issues/release notes, is that It's understandable that it's much slower and more challenging to make changes to functionality that's become part of Windows core. If something in PowerToys turns out to be a bad idea, it can be removed. It's much harder to justify that when it's been baked into the OS. [0] - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
Friends, I'm not saying that tools like zx are not good. I do like to write some scripts using js/ts. I believe pythoners prefer https://xon.sh/ . Perl is also attractive and interesting. I think the only possible competitors are tcl and perl, maybe lua. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago

Those of you who use (or used) this as your shell: care to share your experience? It seems a lot less full-featured than https://xon.sh/, but maybe you don't need a lot of bells and whistles for regular usage. I mostly run build, execute, and install commands. I'm somewhat enticed at the possibility of being able to wrap common executables into forms that are typed (like nushell or elvish) and manipulate them in a... - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
In that case, is it even more similar to xonsh? https://xon.sh/. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
Not to hijack, but also consider xonsh[1]. It's Python based, and all your scripts can be Python (or hybrid-Python). I've been using it for both Windows and Linux for over 5 years. [1] https://xon.sh/. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
