  They called me to tell me that they had locked my account. I've had my gold card for over 29 years, so I asked why. They said it was because someone in Russia was trying to login to americanexpress.com with my username. I said I thought it was ridiculous that they allowed anyone in the world to disable my card if they guessed my username, and the guy said he couldn't help and hung up. I called back, and it took... • Precedence

  I'm going through the textbook "Beginning Perl" located at perl.org, and I'm having a confuse with one of the example questions. I'm supposed to determine the order of operations for 26 + 3 ^ 4 * 2. According to the precedence table in the textbook, + and * come before ^. So I think the answer should be ((26 + 3) ^ (4 * 2)), but the book says the answer is 26 + (3 ^ (4 * 2)). Can anyone help me figure out what... Source: about 2 years ago
