Could try Lonely Mountains Downhill. It is a reflex game, but there’s an easy mode where you just bike down the mountains with no time constraints. There are 6 or 7 check points on each trail, so even if you careen off the side, you can just instantly restart your run at the last check point and you don’t lose too much time. It's hard to imagine you've not seen Google's doodle guessing training (or their other experiments) but it's just another example of how little information you actually need to create a recognizable image, though Canvas also shows this off, but it has the benefit of material information. To come back to your original question, as far as I'm aware anyone can publish on arxiv or researchgate. People will just tend to take you less serious.
