a lot of the recommendations here are time consuming. if you do control4 or something similar, it's not time consuming but the integrator that you hav to purchase from will more than likely not give you access to your system. you could do c4 with josh.ai on top of it. or just josh.ai on it's own but then you lose pool control but everything else you are asking for. you'll also have to play in their sandbox of... If you do find a way to hide app menus you might consider using Paletro or a similar extension for an automation tool, I know Alfred has a workflow for it, I'm guessing Raycast, Launchbar and maybe even Keyboard Maestro do to. How is performance these days? I used to use it or an alternative workflow and there was always a few second lag when I activated the workflow in each respective app for the first time after rebooting.
