Man do you even keep up to date with VR tech? DecaGear 1, Pimax 8K X, Reverb G2, and Quest 2, which can now support 120hz in some games. The pimax surpasses the index is almost every way, and the other three have much better value. And no, I don't know anyone with the DecaGear 1, because, as I said, it hasn't been released yet. But it's a headset that will have index-like finger tracking, much higher resolution... Source: about 3 years ago
Oculus is great. I'm still playing on the original Rift CV1. For Elite and space/flight sims specifically, I have my sights set on the HP Reverb G2 but I'm not sure if my measly 1080 GTX will keep up with it. Source: about 3 years ago
I think the the lens is like that to magnify and increase the FOV with the smaller screens (https://www8.hp.com/us/en/vr/reverb-g2-vr-headset.html#id_823212197). I am not sure if foveated rendering is used by default, it may be up to the game engine to implement it. Lot of optimizations are yet to be done for VR. Do I buy a new monitor and a TrackIR or do I buy a VR Headset (or this). Source: about 3 years ago
(In most parts of the world). There is only one place to buy an index. And that's directly from steam. Everything else is a reseller. https://store.steampowered.com/valveindex. Source: 9 months ago
Which benefits do you gain from buying the Chinese Vive Pro or Pro 2 instead of the superior Valve Index? - asking since you already have a Quest 2 for PCVR. I was underwhelmed by the mediocre performance, short durability and abysmal support on my HTC Vive Pro. Source: about 1 year ago

Also, you could get a Valve Index, which has lower resolution screens than the above mentioned VR headsets, but it still has the best tracking and connectivity. In my opinion, this is still the best PCVR headset. Source: over 1 year ago
If new, I'd probably go with the Valve Index. you'll get the headset, two v2 base stations, and the Index controllers. This kit doesn't require any additional software, beyond SteamVR. You can add some Vive Trackers to the mix and get your full body tracking. Source: over 1 year ago
