I use both hotels.com and also booking.com mostly for booking accomodation but its also 100% worth using trivago site to search and see if anywhere else has the same hotel cheaper (This has saved me loads in the past) its not a great site I find for searching hotels in a region, Use hotels and booking for that then use trivago to price comparison it. To answer a couple of your questions, there are plenty of roadside motels near the National Parks. I usually use hotels.com or google to determine which chains are where and book directly with the hotel. Source: 5 months ago
Search on hotels.com or tripadvisor or other places to find things in your price range. You might have to stay outside of Manhattan, and before you book make sure to research commute times from the potential hotels to the places you want to visit. Source: 5 months ago
I use hotels.com, because they have 'pay when you get there' hotels, that way Im not charged if I dont show. Source: 5 months ago
It's $60 a night during peak holiday for a reason. Good hotels in that area are 4 to 6 times that. Looking at the ratings on Expedia and hotels.com, yeah, it's a shit hole. Did you read the reviews before you booked? Source: 5 months ago
I booked a paid ticket thru united.com for SFO-HKG-BKK in January. The SFO-HKG leg is on United and the HKG-BKK connecting leg is on Cathay Pacific. The United flight is booked as Economy K and the Cathay flight is booked as Economy S. At the time of purchase (6 weeks before travel) I was allowed to reserve a seat on the United flight but not on the Cathay flight. Source: 6 months ago
Option 1) - Current Strategy - Keep monitoring flights on the United.com website multiple times daily for Saver Premium Economy (65K) or Saver Polaris (100K) space. If they show up, book right away via "change of ticket" via transfer in additional chase points to United. I'd have to look at 2 openings in either Premium Plus or Polaris Business at once to not separate the child from adults. Source: 6 months ago
If you don't have these accounts already, create one aa.com united.com for both you and your spouse. This will create you frequent flyer numbers for these portals. When you do this, they usually send emails with elevated miles for signup bonus. Source: 10 months ago
If you can't find the flights you want on aircanada.com or united.com, then there's no award inventory. Source: 10 months ago
Other than paying for an upgrade, are there any ways to squeeze out additional PQP I haven't thought of? They don't offer it for hotel bookings through united.com, right? Source: 10 months ago
