I think one of the biggest issues was just resources to see it through but also my own desire to move beyond it towards a platform and services. I had ideas to build an app, and made few 2 years ago or so. Indeed these technologies are great to start with. I would suggest going with Kodular.io or thunkable.com instead of appinventor.
