In no small part thanks to you and other users experiencing this issue, I was able to reproduce this consistently. And in doing so, I discovered that the web UI on gaiagps.com and the database where that info is saved, had different definitions of what should be possible. Let's say I own a folder (i'm the Owner), and I share it with you (you're the Sharee). In the database, only I, the Owner, am allowed to add... Source: over 1 year ago
You could go to caltopo.com or gaiagps.com and build your own map using either of these. Source: over 1 year ago
I spent a TON of time accurately making some long routes (on gaiagps.com) and now I see most are gone completely and others have large segments missing ! Anyone else have this happen ? (OSX and IOS). I opened a ticket but no response yet. Source: almost 2 years ago
Hey u/SolidGoldUnderwear, sorry for the trouble. Please try clearing the cache on your browser. The easiest way to do this is to hold down the shift key and refresh the gaiagps.com browser window. Source: about 2 years ago
Hey u/Puss_Lips, sorry about that. It may be a caching issue. The edited route should show if you clear your browser cache. The easiest way to do this is to hold down the Shift key and click the refresh button on the gaiagps.com browser window. If that doesn't work, would you mind contacting Support so we can gather more info? You can do that here: https://help.gaiagps.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. Source: about 2 years ago
When I travel, I look at eater.com for food recs, alltrails.com for hiking recs and google maps for anything not covered by those aggregators. This works out most of the time, and certainly provides higher-quality responses than random people on reddit. Source: 5 months ago
That is, after a shift at the shelter and a short hike! Alltrails has great stuff, idk where you are but it's got stuff in so many places lol. Source: 6 months ago
Not a specific destination answer, but I recommend checking out AllTrails. I like the details it provides. The reviews seem fair and the app is great. Source: 10 months ago
How long of a hike/walk? Bridle Trails is fantastic. Trilogy area of Redmond (Redmond Ridge) also has a ton of trails. I highly recommend the alltrails.com app or site. You can search by easy/moderate/hard and distance and using the map zoom into a specific area. Source: 10 months ago
OH and use alltrails.com to look up trails you're interested in and see the latest conditions. If I were you, and people are saying there's an active bear on a trail I would avoid it since you are alone. You'll find some trails people mention not great visibility around some corners or due to huckleberry bushes...I'd avoid those too on your own. Bears might be into huckleberry when you get there and the last thing... Source: 10 months ago
