Https://flet.dev is an interesting project and gives you a good looking UI out of the box. It uses flutter in the background. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
> When you run flet build command it ... Packages Python app using package command of serious_python package. -- https://flet.dev/docs/guides/python/packaging-app-for-distribution It looks like Flet is for client-side code. Flet (https://flet.dev) might be easier for backend devs as it doesn't assume any web experience at all. You use controls (aka widgets) with events (not request/response) and can build not only web, but desktop and mobile apps - all with a single codebase. I found JDBi[1] to be a really nice balance between ORM and raw SQL. It gives me the flexibility I need but takes care of a lot of the boilerplate. It's almost like a third category. 1. http://jdbi.org. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
You could use something like jdbi or mybatis. It's not as ugly as raw jdbc and easier to use without all of the gunk from an ORM like hibernate. Source: about 1 year ago
