KintoHub Reviews

  1. It's like the modern heroku!

It's very easy to deploy anything on KintoHub. It's really a full-stack solution, unlike many others that have obstacles when deploying a database or aggressive pricing. The free tier is very generous to get started with a hobby app and try it out first. If you add your card you can get more flexibility as well with the advanced customizations on the resources.

๐Ÿ Competitors: Heroku, Netlify, Firebase, Okteto, Vercel
๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Super simple|Language agnostic|You're not locked in. it's easy to move here.|Fully customized cloud resources|Generouous free plan|Very responsive support on discord
๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    It's a new platform so it's really great for hobby projects at the moment|No teams yet

  • Fzf advanced integration in Powershell
If you want to integrate fzf with rg, fd, bat to fuzzy find files, directories or ripgrep the content of a file and preview using bat, but the fzf document only has commands for Linux shell (bash,...), and you want to achieve that on your Windows Machine using Powershell, this post may be for you. - Source: dev.to / about 12 hours ago
  • Level Up Your Dev Workflow: Conquer Web Development with a Blazing Fast Neovim Setup (Part 1)
Ripgrep: A super-fast file searcher. You can install it using your system's package manager (e.g., brew install ripgrep on macOS). Fd: Another blazing-fast file finder. Installation instructions can be found here: https://github.com/sharkdp/fd. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
  • Hyperfine: A command-line benchmarking tool
Hyperfine is such a great tool that it's one of the first I reach for when doing any sort of benchmarking. I encourage anyone who's tried hyperfine and enjoyed it to also look at sharkdp's other utilities, they're all amazing in their own right with fd[1] being the one that perhaps get the most daily use for me and has totally replaced my use of find(1). • Z โ€“ Jump Around
You call it with `n` and get an interactive fuzzy search for your directories. If you do `n https://github.com/sharkdp/fd. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
  • Unix as IDE: Introduction (2012)
Many (most?) of them have been overhauled with success. For find there is fd[1]. There's batcat, exa (ls), ripgrep, fzf, atuin (history), delta (diff) and many more. Most are both backwards compatible and fresh and friendly. Your hardwon muscle memory still of good use. But there's sane flags and defaults too. It's faster, more colorful (if you wish), better integration with another (e.g. exa/eza or aware of git... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
