This is good advice, but I prefer something that automatically dims and reduces blue light for me. It's been around for a while under development. It had it's 1.0.0 release in March 2021. There's been two (online) Crystal conferences, and there's two Crystal books published. There's a decent ecosystem of "shards" and there are a couple of Crystal web frameworks and ORMS that are similar to Sinatra or Rails-like. If you already know Ruby, learning Crystal is super easy.
