  • Modos Paper Monitor Pre-Launch on Crowd Supply
Give Flux a try. https://justgetflux.com/ It did it before night mode and does it far better. ;). - Source: Hacker News / 5 days ago
  • Tools that keep me productive
For those evenings where I'm in front of the computer, f.lux is a must. Like some wise person said, "Be kind to your eyeballs". macOS's Nightshift kind of works, but f.lux destroys it. - Source: dev.to / 21 days ago
  • Ultra Librarian Joins Flux to Take the Hard Out of Hardware
Having never heard of Ultra Librarian, I thought this was somehow related to https://justgetflux.com/ and that they'd made a switch from doing color changing to hardware. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
  • Is it just me who dislikes the winter update with the change of colors?
Reshade might help with the color tones. I normally use f.lux for Windows, but I don't know how much it might help. Could be worth trying, though. Source: 6 months ago
  • Create a shortcut for even lower phone brightness
This is good advice, but I prefer something that automatically dims and reduces blue light for me. That qay I don't have ro remember. f.lux on Windows and Mac, and Twilight on Android, are what work for me. https://justgetflux.com/ https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.urbandroid.... - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago

  • Phoenix on Rails - a Phoenix tutorial for Rails developers
Https://luckyframework.org/ . Kemal is even faster but it's mostly for APIs. In my opinion it's on par with Actix with much, much better developer experience. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How do you find the market in 2023?
It's been around for a while under development. It had it's 1.0.0 release in March 2021. There's been two (online) Crystal conferences, and there's two Crystal books published. There's a decent ecosystem of "shards" and there are a couple of Crystal web frameworks and ORMS that are similar to Sinatra or Rails-like. If you already know Ruby, learning Crystal is super easy. • Marten, a Crystal web framework that makes building web apps productive and fun
They’re all good to try IMO, another is https://kemalcr.com which is akin to Sinatra if you just want to get an HTTP server with routes setup quickly. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
