  1. I uninstalled AdAway to give this a shot

AdAway who? Not sure if there is a non root version for Android. I use the Magisk Module to stay "Energized". Wow, it is hands down, easily by a long shot the best adblocker for a rooted android.

Their website is currently a blank page. See https://energized.pro. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Use uBlock Origin to assist yourself in your glorious endeavors this NNN
The most obvious thing you can do is to use a custom filter. There are several great filterlists out there but I know most of them are just not enough for some of you degenerates out there who have went a bit too deep in the spicy rabbit hole. One of the best filterlists you can use is by the Energized Protection. Here's the direct link to Energized Porn filter in adblock format. Just copy and paste this in Filter... • I'm not worried about manifest v3. hblock is way better than most ad blockers because it uses your hosts file to work. In other words, it's not constantly running in the background. Web sites can't detect it and it works any browser. It's worth mentioning the equivalent on Android is AdAway.
Same concept, but I personally like to use this Https://energized.pro/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Is there an OPNsense plugin or service that can block ads like pi-hole?
This is what I did as well, I added the Energized.pro Ultimate list URL to the blocklist section of Unbound and it worked like a charm. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Wishing someone stole the ads tho!
Use uBlock Origin instead of uBlock. Why? Because it is the real shit. You do not need another content blocker like adblock with uBlock Origin, just tick the included optional filters in settings and also add custom filters like those from Energized. Also, on your phone, you can simply use Firefox Android with uBlock Origin. Source: almost 2 years ago

The LARGE majority of CDNs use either Apache Traffic Server (https://trafficserver.apache.org/) or Nginx for their cache webserver, so the mechanisms used are pretty easy to find if you look through the docs. Source: almost 2 years ago

  • Build a CDN in about 5 hours
We have choices. We could use Varnish (scripting! Edge side includes! PHK blog posts!). We could use Apache Traffic Server (being the only new team this year to use ATS!). Or we could use NGINX (we're already running it!). The only certainty is that you'll come to hate whichever one you pick. Try them all and pick the one you hate the least. - Source: dev.to / almost 3 years ago
