  • What are some really simple map making tools?
I used to dungeon painter online, then I bought dungeon painter studio because I liked the software. I still use DPS for my non-totm campaigns. Both are dead and not receiving updates now, though. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Combat Homebrews
Pyromancer Dungeon Painter The online module no longer works due to Flash dying, so you will need to download the free software. Source: over 2 years ago
  • What is the best tool for mapmaking?
Best free option I've seen is Dungeon Painter Online (though flash is gone so have to download now). Dungeonscrawl is fantastically simple for sketching a quick dungeon. I've also used Inkarnate, Pymapper and some others I forget. The wiki has some recommendations. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Does anyone know a app or site I can use for making maps?
I used this one a bit before it went download only. http://pyromancers.com/dungeon-painter-online/. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Favourite Map Maker software?
It's hard to beat Inkarnate for its raw capabilities in both world generation and map/dungeon design. And it has a free option. Obviously limited, but you get what you pay for in truth. Next for me would be the (potentially pricy, but very worth it) Caeora integrated into World Anvil. The complexity you can manifest is absolutely insane. • Any websites or ways to makeshift a grid map?
In addition to those mentioned before, I find https://dungeonmapdoodler.com/ is pretty good or the free tier of inkarnate. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Best D&D map makers for dungeons, cities and worlds
I've been working on a dungeon map making tool for a while as well. It was originally intended for whipping up a really quick map, but it's expanded a fair bit since then, and I'm currently working on adding tools for world maps as well. Check it out here if you're interested! https://dungeonmapdoodler.com/. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
  • What would be the best tool to make simple maps like this?
Dungeon Map Doodler is a pretty easy one to pick up, if a bit bare-bones. It's free though so who can complain. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Critique My Dungeon 23 Plan — A Collection of Dyson Dungeons
There are mapping softwares out there which can do the drawing for you if that's what you need. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How to go about drawing maps for irl DnD
I use Dungeon Map Doodler to create maps, then get them printed as blueprints at Staples, Office Depot, or a similar location that has a plotter. I then use sheets of black cardboard paper to cover areas the PCs haven’t been to yet, and uncover them as appropriate. Source: over 1 year ago
