  2. Dungeon Painter is a free powerful encounter map design tool.
I used to dungeon painter online, then I bought dungeon painter studio because I liked the software. I still use DPS for my non-totm campaigns. Both are dead and not receiving updates now, though.

  3. 3
Campaign management tool for tabletop RPGs and map drawing tool with hexagonal (or square) tiles.
I'm terrible at map making. So, I'm taking a very hex-based map approach and planning a hexcrawl campaign later this year. For that, I really like hextml. But, if you're looking for something prettier, I've heard Wonderdraft is good.

  4. An integrated overland hex mapper for worlds or regions; settlement vector mapper for cities or villages; and square battle mapper for dungeons.
I don't think Worldographer (https://worldographer.com/) gets as much love as it should. World/area hex maps, city/town/village maps, dungeon maps, battlemaps, it can do it all. It's also a one-time purchase, rather than ongoing service pricing; which I vastly prefer.
