We make it possible for individuals to compete for the domain names that are released daily from the Verisign domain registry, known as the Drop.
Some domains are highly sought after, and can only be acquired by advanced computer algorithms. DropCatch was designed from the ground up to compete for these domains. Our advanced software and registrar network help give you the competitive advantage you need to get the domains you want.
Based on our record, sish should be more popular than DropCatch. It has been mentiond 15 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
So, I'm wondering if we follow it on dropcatch.com - is that a good way to "catch" it? Or if I search it, will it be the same story as with godaddy i.e. It will just highlight demand for the name? Source: 7 months ago
Listed on dropcatch.com auction $59 starting bid no reserve. Source: 10 months ago
DropCatch.com — If you know a domain is about to expire (from Expired Domains or elsewhere) then you can backorder it for free. If nobody else has placed a backorder, you’ll get the domain for $59, otherwise it will enter a short auction where you have to bid against others. Source: 11 months ago
You should backorder the domain if you can, if it's at GoDaddy then backorder at godaddy. If somewhere else, then backorder at namejet.com, dropcatch.com, and catches.io. Source: 12 months ago
The expiring domain will first have a 30 day redemption period, and then further delays before it is dropped. If the name is anything potentially of value, the name will be re-registered by someone hoping to profit off of it. I'd recommend using a drop-catch firm to attempt to register it when it is dropped. I have used dropcatch.com with good results before. Source: over 2 years ago
Sish - Open source ngrok/serveo alternative. SSH-based but uses a custom server written in Go. Supports WebSocket tunneling. - Source: dev.to / 13 days ago
Tunneling services can be considered as a solution in some cases. Services like ngrok, frp, localtunnel and sish create a public endpoint that tunnels communication to your local endpoint via a tunnel client. - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
Why not forget about Cloudflare and a VPN but get a 3 euro Hetzner server and install https://github.com/antoniomika/sish for dynamic DNS through SSH + Traefik with a DNS resolver and have yourself a wildcard certificate. This way you can host any service from home as long as you run a port forwarding service through SSH with a one liner on Ubuntu. Better yet make an alpine docker image with a command to route... Personally I’ve been using sish[1] recently, lots of ngrok alternatives out there now, especially as the pricing went a bit weird [1] https://github.com/antoniomika/sish. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
I used to use a similar tool called inlets but they removed the open licensing. I now self host a sish server (https://github.com/antoniomika/sish) which also uses ssh for the reverse tunnel client. So much simpler! - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
