Desktop.com Reviews

  1. A daily "always on" tool for our entirely virtual team

Desktop.com has proved to be a worthy alternative to Slack, and with more benefits to our entirely virtual small team scattered around the world. In particular, it's very easy to chat and conduct video calls and screen shares. We utilize the SSO to access all of our web apps and links that we have created among various internal desktops. As with any SaaS tool, there can be features or tweaks that I would like to see, and to that end the support is fantastic.

👍 Pros:    Works as advertised|Quick and easy|Great support
  2. Great for my business

Found it easy to use. Our business is small, and no staff sits in an office. We have configures a couple of apps for Single sign on, and will try to configure a few more. Still working our way through the features, but looks promising for our use case.

    🏁 Competitors: Slack, Microsoft Teams
👍 Pros:    No download|Easy to use|Can invite external slack users|Hd video conference
👎 Cons:    No notification on iphone yet
  3. A flexible remote HQ

Desktop.com allows me to organize my apps, links and docs online in a very simple way. It also allows me to share the right assets with my coworkers without hassle. I don’t know how I got by before I started using it. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to organize their digital workplace.

    👍 Pros:    Intuitive|Cheap price|Super simple

  • What tool are you using with your team in remote work?
After a lot of experimenting, my team and I found Pragli and we were surprised. Simple, flexible and spontaneous. Starting a conversation became as light as looking at the next workstation and saying "hey how are things going there?". Source: about 3 years ago
