Dendron is an open-source, local-first, markdown-based, note-taking tool built on top of VSCode. Like most such tools, Dendron supports all the usual features you would expect like tagging, backlinks, a graph view, split panes, and so forth. But it doesn't stop there - whereas most tools (try to make it) easy to get notes in, they tend to make it hard to get them back out later, and it only gets worse as you add more notes. Dendron helps you get notes back out and works better the more notes you have.
Dendron PastebotDendron is the first note-taking tool I've found that scales well with growth. Note references, easy refactoring tools and searchable hierarchies (now with fuzzy matching!) make it easier to maintain notes, and a built-in publishing tool and the ability to quickly copy links to notes makes it much easier to share notes with friends and colleagues.
Dendron's use of flexible hierarchies works the same way that I think. It helps me organize and manage 20k+ markdown notes and its constantly getting better with weekly updates!
Dendron might be a bit more popular than Pastebot. We know about 21 links to it since March 2021 and only 16 links to Pastebot. My choice - Standalone : QOwnNotes ( Light Weight , written in C++ and QT , Full featured that checks all your boxes and Full Nexcloud support) - As vscode Extensions : dendron.so , it have all the above plus many more powerful features. Source: almost 2 years ago
Dendron.so is great for this. I use it for daily notes at work to track what I've done, remember items for standup, and usually a small TIL or something from the day. Source: almost 2 years ago

I haven't used Ditto so I don't know how closely macOS clipboard managers compare to it, but there's certainly a fair number of programs for the Mac out there that sound similar to Ditto's own description, from the free, open source Maccy to the somewhat over-the-top $13 Pastebot. Not what you’re asking for but I paid for pastebot a long time ago and it’s grand. My one request to them was “can you let me edit the clipping” and they haven’t done it yet. But, I installed Tot and I use that to paste into and edit the text. Magic for me was setting the global pop-up shortcut to CMD - . ( period ) ( which, for me, was the best thing about Raycast ). Copy all the things you need from the browser, switch to your IDE and paste one by one in the desired location. While on Windows I used Ditto as it has several cool features. On MacOS I use Pastebot which also comes with some advanced features. One of the features I use is Custom Pasteboards where I keep a permanent Lorem Ipsum paragraph which is always useful to have at hand while developing and testing. Paste App - PASTE is software for storing and sharing text. The software was originally forked from the outrageously popular pastebin. com before the domain was sold in 2010. Read more about PASTE.
Joplin - Joplin is a free, open source note taking and to-do application, which can handle a large number of notes organised into notebooks. The notes are searchable, tagged and modified either from the applications directly or from your own text editor.
