  • Made a Custom GPT4 that functions as a DM for DnD 5E.
So I added the pdf for the player rulebook, monster manual, and command cheatsheet for the avrae discord bot found on dndbeyond.com as a tool to help run games through discord. Basically my idea was to create a DM or DM tool that could generate a story for you to play or generate the materials you would than use as a DM. Source: 6 months ago
  • How do i start?
Read? Most anything having to do with the class and race/species you want to play in addition to some of the basic rules. dndbeyond.com/how-to-play-dnd can potentially be a great resource so long as you are playing the 5th Edition of the game. It WILL seem like a daunting amount of information, but it is manageable if you limit what you learn to the necessities and learn the rest as you play. If you click on that... Source: 11 months ago
  • Look for D&D Player to join a couple of campaigns - New Players welcome! You will have fun :)
I have a lot of these in hard book formats, but since I want to run adventures using dndbeyond.com it is going to be a good time to pick the digital versions, plus I can share all these with members of my champaigns for free. Source: 11 months ago
  • Baldur's Gate arriving on August 3 on PC!
There are countless videos on YouTube around how they play at the tabletop, but I think the best place to start would actually be dndbeyond.com. You will be locked to the basics, but you can get an idea from character building there because you can create characters and see how stats impact rolls and explore class features. If you haven't played before, all are welcome and we will help get you up to speed and as always, make sure everyone has a good time at the end of each sessions. You won't have to buy anything if you don't want to to start with. Here is a link to the basic rules you can look over to get a feel for the rules and what game play is like. You don't have to memorize everything as we will take it slow and will help... Source: 11 months ago

  • An honest inquiry
(I'm not sure if this is a serious question or not; it's way easier to see what's supposed to be happening if you look at an actual isometric map like this one.). Source: about 2 years ago
  • A new perspective on map perspective
Isometric mapis your search term, for Google. (I'm sorry if this sounds condescending). Source: over 2 years ago
  • Favourite Map Maker software?
It's hard to beat Inkarnate for its raw capabilities in both world generation and map/dungeon design. And it has a free option. Obviously limited, but you get what you pay for in truth. Next for me would be the (potentially pricy, but very worth it) Caeora integrated into World Anvil. The complexity you can manifest is absolutely insane. While Azgaar (and "similar" (itch.io) based tools) are without a question... Source: about 3 years ago
