Just to add to this, from the perspective of an artist working on building their own brand/fanbase: I feel like listing myself on some of these sites would be antithetical to my goals. I simply don't want to be another drop in the ocean. I want clients to want a piece from me because they associate quality and a one-of-a-kind style with my brand, so I could charge a premium. In most cases, as long as you have a license for the font on your computer (you didn’t download it from some dodgy piracy site), you’re fine. I see that Snell Roundhand is widely offered as a free download (and probably shouldn't be). If you need to purchase it, the Monotype conglomerate (which includes linotype.com. fonts.com, myfonts.com, etc.) has it for purchase. You would need the desktop license. If you’re...
