Just to add to this, from the perspective of an artist working on building their own brand/fanbase: I feel like listing myself on some of these sites would be antithetical to my goals. I simply don't want to be another drop in the ocean. I want clients to want a piece from me because they associate quality and a one-of-a-kind style with my brand, so I could charge a premium. Tip for buying fonts legally: get familiar with the big font marketplaces like MyFonts.com, Fonts.com, Fontspring.com, and CreativeMarket.com. When you search Google for a font, i.e. "beynkales font", most of the results will be pirate sites, so just scroll down until you find a link to one of the font marketplaces you know.
