Really depends on your workflow, but Im currently using Motion for 2D animation/"animated graphics design", managed to set up all my common lower thirds and transitions to Fusion templates in Resolve. I hear good things about apps like Cavalry(https://cavalry.scenegroup.co/ ), though it has a paid subscription tier so it's not that much of a win in a professional setting. Source: about 1 year ago

If you want to try out some 2d motion graphics that isn’t After Effects you should check out Cavalry — Bit of a learning curve but it can do some powerful stuff. Free to download for most features in it too. Source: over 1 year ago

Sometimes you want the animator/designer to be able to completely own the animation process and build with no-code--and you just embed their creation and own interactivity. Lottie was king here for a while. Rive is in same space and I've heard good things. Source: over 1 year ago
